What is the difference between a 1LT and 2LT? Reply to this topic Start new topic. Prev 1 2 3 Next Page 1 of 3. Recommended Posts. Posted February 17, Hi all. Looking at new Silverado's. I can't seem to find anywhere online, or in the brochure, where it tells specifically what the differences are between a 1LT truck and a 2LT.
One Youtube video seemed to suggest that the 2LT means Z71, but that does not seem to be the case either. I am pretty savvy at internet searches and I can't seem to find a thing that definitively answers the question. A few people have suggested that the 2LT has buckets, console, heated seats, etc.
This is just crazy. I asked my Chevy salesperson, even emailed him the link of the loaded 1LT and he replied that the 2LT has the heated seats and console. Clearly he didn't read my email Anyway, I sent him the link a 2nd time with the loaded 1LT and this time rather than looking in to it further, he simply just never answered me back Guess that was the easy way out.
Surely "someone" knows the real answer here. I would like console, buckets, and heated seats, but maybe there are other features that I would like on 2LT so it would be awesome to know what they are. I looked around for 20 minutes and couldnt find any real info on this so your help is appreciated. I'll put this pic in case the exterior holds any clues. MS03 PM PM SM Full Member. Hello, I'm not for sure but I think they are just option packages. Some times GM bundles different options. Vaeagleav PM I don't know if the sticker in your glovebox has a listing for the LT codes but it will give you codes on all the factory items on your AV when new.
Maybe if you go to a dealer with your VIN they could run up a history or print a copy of the window sticker? So technically my is an LT3 Z The LT3 did come with the rear entertainment system and navigation I believe. Most of the trim upgrades between the LTs were in the interior so a photo of the exterior doesn't help much, sorry. If you can find an advertising brochure from it will have a chart showing the upgrades.
Good luck with your search. I too was curious after I bought mine two years ago. You can find the level of LT that your truck was factory equipped with by looking at the RPO codes inside the glove box. There is a full listing of RPO codes on this site. Good luck and enjoy your avy! SunburstOrangeMetallic Full Member. Like every small-block generation before it, the Gen V cylinder block shares a degree cylinder angle and 4. Like the LS architecture, the LT block is a deep-skirt design with six-bolt main caps with built-in provisions for jet-spray piston cooling, as well as accommodations for an engine-driven vacuum pump and the engine-driven high-pressure fuel pump for the direct injection system.
The L8T has a cast-iron block see sidebar on page xx. The LT cylinder head design builds on the excellent airflow attributes of previous LS family designs and matches it with a direct-injection combustion system. All versions are cast aluminum, using a semi-permanent mold process that produces a more accurate casting for optimal mass reduction and minimal machining.
Although sizes vary among the variants, LT combustion chambers are generally smaller than LS chambers to accommodate the volume of dished piston heads that are crucial for directed fuel spray from the injectors, while also contributing to generally higher compression ratios of up to As for the direct injection system, it introduces fuel directly into the combustion chamber rather than into the cylinder head ports, per a conventional port-injection system.
It is done with extremely high fuel pressure of more than 2, psi—and closer to 2, psi for the supercharged versions. LV3 4. Just like the old 4. With its lightweight aluminum block and heads and a featherweight composite intake manifold, it has the making of very economical and weight-balanced swap material, especially in smaller cars such as Vegas and Monzas. Hell, a third-generation Camaro with a V-8 never had this much power—and think about all the extra underhood room for fabbing a turbo system.
These LT-based 5. The engines actually have a smaller 3. It consequently revs a little higher, producing its peak hp at 5, rpm. There are aftermarket supercharger kits and other bolt-ons for these 5. The LT engine platform goes oversquare with the high-performance L86 and L87 variants.
Similar to the L83 and L84 5. The L86 was used in the previous-generation Silverado , Tahoe, and Suburban, while the L87 is used on the current-generation models. The oversquare dimensions mean a larger, 4.
