Wear t-shirts with scripture on them. Conduct yourself in public as if Jesus were right there with you… because he is. Instead, tell them you are praying they will be better able to help the next person. You can also admit your frustration and tell them you really are trying to treat them the way Jesus wants you to, so you hope they will meet you half-way. Different pieces of the gospel story rise to the surface to meet the needs of different times and places. Inviting the gospel into new places can also enhance our understanding of the gospel itself.

What might your context illuminate about the gospel? Paul had to explain the gospel differently when he brought the good news to Asia Minor. The fact that he was a Pharisee, an important leader in Jewish culture, meant nothing to them.

Everyone has more to learn about the gospel. So as you share the gospel, you may find your view of it evolves, too. Growing up in Nepal, where most people are Buddhist or Hindu, Yakuv Gurung began sharing the gospel at a young age.

Rather than simply sharing the gospel, we need to actually be the gospel. My character should reflect the gospel. Today, Gurung is leading a movement of new churches both in Nepal and among Nepali immigrants in the U.

Those seminary students and church leaders who will go to help pastor and mentor churches in strategic places. But he has called all of us to be a part of the sending process.

And how are they to preach unless they are sent? He recognizes that the whole church is involved in the process. That means that every church should strive to give radically, send their best long-term to the ends of the earth to share the gospel, and encourage every member to get the vision and feel the burden of global lostness—for instance, by going on strategic short-term trips.
